It's been a week since we started on the paleolithic diet and thought I would give you an update on how we are doing :) I have actually kept a diary since I tend to totally forget important details.
For those of you that don't know, we have cut out all dairy, sugar and grains.
It has been going great! In the first 3 days I lost 1.5 kg which later stayed on 1 kg since I lost a lot of water initially, but I wanted to make a note that this is not the reason why we started to eat like this - health seems more important.
Problems during the 1st week:
Dehydrated (maybe because we eat less salt) and really have to monitor water intake.
Eczema has been acting up - hoping this is because we quit sugar.
Feeling weak at times.
Heartburn the first few days.
Headache the first few days.
Mild acne.
Mild depression due to losing a good friend, named sugar.
Moderate cravings.
The good stuff during the 1st week:
At times i felt weak in the gym but still made gains, so this is a good thing :)
Sleeping REALLY well and don't need to pee every night.
Lost weight.
Need less sleep.
Dark circles getting better.
Feeling lighter and healthier.
So far both of of us are really happy on this diet and we really recommend it :)
