Positive Reinforcement!

Say hello to my babies!

I grew up with an old cranky Persian cat that we literally had to sedate to clip her claws or she would go mental and shred the whole place. So, when we decided on getting these two - I promised myself to cut their claws every other week so they would have to get use to it and hopefully think of it as nothing. It has been going ok but just a year ago I tried positive reinforcement.....meaning they get a delicious treat afterwards. Wow, it didn't take long before they got it. Now, I just have to take out the scissors and the treat and they almost fight getting their nails done first. They literally chase me and jump up my lap!

I also use it for the vacuum cleaner :)

Now that is a good thing!
