Product Junkie......Nails!

Well, summer is almost over and most of us are back at work.
Like most I guess, I have always high expectations and big plans for the autumn and for me it officially started on Monday. It reminds me of a New Years resolution :)
I have a plan on how to structure my days more efficiently....
I was going to go to the gym....often......
Eating right......etc etc etc :(

I went to the gym last week and the instructor showed no mercy so I have almost been bed ridden for a week now.....ouch! :) But I haven't really gotten around to it this week. The hardest thing is to start, right? Hate starting over!
The eating part of my new me is going pretty well I must say. I know it's early days and that it takes about 2 weeks to change your tastebuds from crap to vegetables. I would like to go more vegetarian than anything else. Just for the health benefits.
Oh, and we fast 2 days a week :)

Enough about my future plans, today I would like to recommend 3 products that have made my life considerably easier.
Like some of you, I like doing my nails myself and having products that really works helps!

First I soak my fingers for about 10 min.
Then I apply Be Natural cuticle eliminator for about a minute before I go over them with an orange stick and rub the nails and cuticles with an old wash cloth. This really removes old skin and makes my cuticles like new again.

I then use a nail oil. I would use any kind that contains sesame oil, or why not use plain sesame oil that you might use for cooking.

Finally, I apply a balm to the cuticles and massage that in as much as possible.
I have found that the Nuxe lip balm is the best ever for my cuticles. Weird but totally awesome :)

I give all these products 5/5 rating!!

Product Junkie....ghd air!

I'm in heaven!!!
I just bought a new hairdryer because my old one sounded funny and
I really didn't trust it anymore.
I checked all over the place for reviews and finally decided on an ghd air. I have used their styler for as long as I can remember and I have never been disappointed.
It's pricey but definitely worth it.
I bought mine at HQHair because they are A LOT cheaper than here in Sweden.

Well, lets just say I was blown away.....it is that good!!!
The long cord, the power is unbelievable and the settings are just perfect.
Three heat settings and three speeds as well as a cool air button.
My hair hardly needed the styler afterwards.
Just perfect!

I rate this 5/5!

Product Junkie...

I have been using St. Tropez self tan products for ever now
and frankly, they have never let me down :)
This is the first summer ever that I'm staying out of the sun....or using a really high spf and a hat
if I would like to go to the beach. Starting to seriously worrying about wrinkles,
age spots and of course cancer.
But unfortunately there is nothing that beats that tanned feeling :)

I have a lot of different St. Tropez products and which one I use just depends
on my mood really. The mousse is good since there is no drying time at all
and application is a breeze when you have the mit.

Love St. Tropez
5/5

Product Junkie....Lumene

I just bought the Lumene CC color correcting cream in the shade medium.
I rave their BB cream but unfortunately it broke med out with eczema. The glow you got was unbeatable.
I was hoping this would have similar properties without the eczema ;)

It's really light and you can't really feel it on your skin, but it still has good coverage. It's more matte and the shades are quite light. I'm fair as fair can be and the medium is almost too light on me.
It doesn't break me out with either acne or eczema which is excellent.
I do like this little tube a lot, but I just wished it would be more dewy rather than matte.

Therefore I rate this 4/5!

Maybe you can recommend a good CC cream?

Two of my new favorites!

Rosenserien C-vitamin serum

This review will be in swedish since it's a swedish brand...

I rate this 5/5!

The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth

This is what they say:
Our certified organic range has been created for the first signs of ageing. This innovative concentrate helps to enhance surface skin condition, leaving it looking smoother, fresher and healthier.
Smoothes
Instantly moisturising
99% of the ingredients are of natural origin.

I can't review this serum on its own since I have used them in combination. But I absolutely love them together. My skin feels so good and balanced. It's also incredible smooth, soft and hydrated.
Love this stuff!

I rate this 5/5!

Product Junkie....

I have had my eye on the Tarte Amazonian clay blushed for a while and when a friend went to New York, she was nice enough to get me some :)
I bought 4 different shades but today I would like to share the two more pink blushes.
The first one is "Dollface" and the second one "Blissful".
Dollface is more of a cold lighter pink while Blissful is more warmer, bordering peach in color.
I really love them both. The formula is easy to apply, it has some shimmer in it (which I normally hate) but it doesn't really show up on your skin, lovely colors and has that see through feeling so it doesn't look powdery.
The only minus is that they don't last 12 hours on me :)

I rate them 4/5!

Eyebrow Highlights...

I have been trying two eyebrow highlighter crayons the past couple of months.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills brow duality in the colors Matte Camille/Sand Shimmer
2. Isadora eyebrow lifter

The Anastasia crayon is double-ended with a matte and a shimmer color. It goes on really smooth and is super easy to apply. Shows less color if you compare the two. This one also works better for my soon 40+ eyes.
The Isadora crayon is cheaper and is offered only in one shade. The shades are very similar but this one is "heavier". It has a lot more color but also tends to be very chalky looking on my eyes. I don't think it's bad, but probably better suited to baby smooth eyelids of a younger person.

I rate them....
Anastasia 4/5
Isadora 2/5

Have you tried any of them?

My new best friend!

I looove this new lip glow from Dior!
Unfortunately I don't have my camera right now so you just have to trust me that it is gorgeous....or google some images or even better go and try it out for yourself :)
It's a lip balm with sheer color that adjusts itself to your body.

This is what they say over at Sephora:

Formulated with color reviver technology, this silky lipstick reacts with the chemistry of your lips to create a special shade that will last all day. The addition of SPF 10 will keep you protected, while hydrating mango butter and loofah extract nourish for beautiful, luscious lips.

I rate this little gem 4.5/5
Happy face!!

Product Junkie....mufe

Today I will share a quick review of the Makeup Forever Aqua Liner.

Here is what they say:
Aqua liner is a high precision waterproof liquid eyeliner. Rich in pigments and polymers, its formula guarantees intense color and an outstanding waterproof result. Its ergonomic applicator lets you easily aplly an ultra precise line to create an eyeliner makeup look. Aqua liner is available in a wide range of vibrant shades with matte, iridescent and diamond finishes. Easily removed with waterproof makeup remover.

Here is what I think:
I absolutely love this eyeliner!
It's definitely waterproof (even for my runny eyes).
Beautiful colors and have have this in 3 shades; 7, 14 & 15.
Super easy to remove. I never use remover and just washes my face with water and Jane Iredale's magic mitt.
Doesn't irritate my super sensitive eyes.
Staying power...well it stays put until you remove it.
Love the tip as it doesn't fray and it's very easy to use.

Love, love, love and rate this little gem 5/5!

Opi Liquid Sand

This weekend I was pampered by my boyfriend :)
I got the new OPI Liquid Sand nail polish in "Stay the night".
I really like this one (even if I normally goes for glossy nails).
I dries really fast and the color is really deep with purple-red glitter in it.
Love, love, love.....

Product Junkie

I recently went a little nuts over at Make Up For Ever :)
I bought these paint pots, called MUFE Aqua Cream, in the colors
13 Warm Beige and 15 Taupe.
Love, love, love the taupe color! The other one not so much :( The warm beige color looks bad on me for some reason. I also apply it with their 5N brush but can easily be applied with your fingers or any other brush.
They are waterproof and does not crease.....No, I REALLY mean it!
I definitely rate this 5/5!!

This is what they say:
Aqua Cream
Waterproof cream color

The Aqua cream is an ultra-pigmented, long-lasting waterproof cream. Highly concentrated in mother-of-pearl pigments, it provides an immediate color intensity with a luminous finish.
Its long-lasting formula will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions.

Product Junkie!

It's been a while since a product junkie post and
I have so much new stuff to show you :)
I actually have come across some really good bronzers but my problem is to find one
that my face like without itching, facial eczema or other nasties.
This one is fine for my face, LOVELY color and you only need a little to
give you a nice healthy looking complexion.

Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze
I rate this 5/5

You can read more about this bronzer here....

Product Junkie....Dior Bronze!

I am always on the lookout for a good matte bronzer that doesn't make my face react and turn into a crusty old mess. I really took a chance on this and surprisingly I tolerate it well. If I'm lazy and don't wash it off before going to bed, parts of my face will be somewhat dry the next day but it doesn't make me itch.
It's matte, which I love!
It has SPF 20, which is great!
The staying power is good if I put it on before my moisturizer dries.
The color is good but light so it's a good bronzer during winter or just before you tan during summer.
Just wish it came in more deeper colors for a more tanned look!

3.8/5

Product Junkie...ghd!

GHD IV Styler
Love this little baby! I have used ghd for years and years and it never lets me down. It is super easy to use, super fast to work with and the cord is extra long. It is pricey but it beats anything else....you just have to trust me!
I have had a couple of wide ones but my latest purchase is this narrow version. I thought I would be able to to gorgeous curls but frankly, I suck when it comes to hair :(
Anyway, they are both super but I tend to use the wider one since it's faster if you're just gonna straighten the hair.

Top rating 5/5!

Summer feet.....

I just have to share a homemade recipe for perfect summer feet!
Well, all winter I really have neglected my toes and never thought I would get them summer ready (that's how bad they were). I have searched for years after the perfect foot balm/cream but pretty much all of them are mediocre at best. I decided to take on an experiment and make my own! I don't have a proper recipe written down because who knew it was going to be the BEST ever foot treatment?

I used lanolin!
This is the base of the cream so the amount is dependent on how much you would like to do.

I used glycerol!
Maybe I used 1 part glycerol to 2 parts lanolin.

I used vitamin E mixed in almond oil!
I poured some in and stirred. Added some more until I like the consistency.

I also added a bit of extra oil!
I think I used Jojoba, but think Macadamia or any other good oil will work just fine.

I applied it after the morning shower and that is it. I think it just took a week until my feet were completely healed and super soft. I don't even have to apply daily now.....
You just have to try this recipe if you have problems with your feet!!!
I will never pay money for a foot cream again!

The Callus eliminator is another excellent product to help you on the way if your feet are really bad. Works wonders on the cuticles as well!
