Twill tape typically has a functional use, as reinforcement on seams. But colorful bands of it can also be used on almost any fabric as ornamentation. Here we used two widths of twill tape on a cotton-canvas headboard slipcover. Using a ruler and a disappearing-ink pen or a tailor's pencil, sketch pattern onto fabric. Working one section at a time, iron twill tape on top of self-adhesive fusible tape, folding twill at a 45-degree angle at corners, and cutting fusible tape to match.
