Product Junkie: Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil in Skin Care

One of the most intriguing things about this oil is that it operates almost the same way human sebum (oil) does. Even more interesting, Jojoba oil has been shown to work well with acne prone skin. When applied to the skin, Jojoba oil balances sebum levels and also possesses anti-bacterial properties that prevent breakouts. Its ability to prevent moisture loss makes Jojoba oil ideal for use on dry skin, eczema and other problematic skin conditions. You can find Jojoba oil in wrinkle reduction treatments, moisturizers, acne control products and a number of other skin care items. For a homemade treat, you can purchase a bottle of pure Jojoba oil to make your own moisturizing cream or add a few drops to your favorite lotion.

Rosacea Relief

Rosacea is a skin condition that primarily affects Caucasians. It is characterized by facial redness, usually on the cheeks, nose or forehead. Many rosacea sufferers successfully alleviate rosacea symptoms by applying jojoba oil to the affected areas. The relief seem to be due to jojoba oil's anti-inflammatory properties.

Athlete's Foot Cure

Jojoba oil can be used to help kill skin fungi such as athlete's foot. Apply 1 tbsp. of jojoba oil to each foot and cover with socks. Allow the oil to penetrate overnight.

Jojoba Oil for your Hair

Jojoba Oil for Removing Eye Makeup
Jojoba oil is helpful in removing eye makeup. Simply, dip a cotton pad into the oil and apply directly over the eyelashes. As these areas are very sensitive make sure you do not rub harshly. Within no time, you will find that it has removed all the makeup at the same time make your lashes even more beautiful as well.

Jojoba Oil for the Body
You can apply jojoba oil all over the body before or after the shower in the morning. It gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and gives a hydrating effect. This will also lead to improvement in the blood flow and you can get a glowing skin very soon. Jojoba oil can be used as a body massage oil, but for that you have to mix it with some other oil as it does not have the slippery effect required for massaging.

Jojoba Oil for your Cuticles

It's a cuticle oil. Say goodbye to dry, ragged cuticles. A small amount of jojoba oil, rubbed into the cuticles on a regular basis, helps keep them soft.

Jojoba Oil for your Lips

It's a lip conditioner. If you suffer from dry, chapped lips, a small amount of this can be used as an alternative to chapstick or more expensive lip balms.
