Product Junkie.....Chanel Blush!

Based on a review I read somewhere,
I decided to try the Chanel powder blush for myself.
It's actually a really flattering blush in a peachy-pink color (with a little bit of shimmer).
The good stuff is the color and that the shimmer won't really show once on the face....and the lovely and luxurious packaging!
The not so good stuff is that it's really hard to get some color on the brush. Maybe it's not pigmented enough or maybe it's too pressed because I have to work hard for some color on my cheeks. Sometimes  I think it's a good thing since it's almost impossible to overdo but this blush is a little bit too hard :(
Still absolutely love the color and would definitely buy again.

Product junkie...Nars!

I want to tell you about the Nars soft touch shadow pencils!
I bought mine in glistening pink champagne, called Goddess. It's a smooth and creamy pencil that is super easy to apply and I actually found it long wearing. They go on like a dream and they can be used for shading, smudging or highlighting.
My lids reacts a little bit when I'm wearing it but as long as I wash it off when I get home, it's fine and doesn't stop me from wearing it.
I really want it in more colors!

Product Junkie....Stila!

I have been a fan of Stila foundations for years now and recently I decided to try this fairly new Perfect & Correct foundation. I was a bit nervous that my face would freak out since they have added extra ingredients for wrinkles, oil control and moisture but it is actually fine! It I'm lazy and sleep with my makeup, I do have a little bit of an itchy eyelid the day after but nothing serious.
It is super easy to apply (I apply with my fingers),
blends well and you get medium coverage.
It doesn't accentuate any flakes or dry spots (never with Stila)
and never settle into lines.
I like this and would rate it 4/5.
However, I do prefer the Illuminating liquid foundation because it gives you a more dewy finish.....this gives you more of a matte finish.

Product Junkie....Deborah Lippmann

"Today Was A Fairytale" from Deborah Lippmann is really a fabulous nail polish.
It has both large and small glitters and you can layer it as much as you want. It looks amazing on just the nail tips or full coverage over the entire nail.
I love this and rate it 5/5!

It's a Miracle!

This is definitely my new best friend! WOW!
Jane Iredale Magic Mitt
I have been wanting to buy this thing for a long time now but it has been so difficult
to find someone that will ship to Sweden but now it's finally mine :)
It claims to wash off any makeup (even on the eyes) with a couple of swipes, with only water!
IT ACTUALLY DOES WORK!! It even removes my waterproof eyeliner and mascara,
without rubbing. Who would have thought?
My sensitive face is now even healing and the perioral dermatitis is gone. My pores are clearer and my skin feels soft as silk. Never again will I spend money on facial cleansers!
You just have to try it!!

10/10

Product Junkie....Dr. Hauschka!

My skin background...
Mature, dry, wrinkles, eczema flares on eyelids/forehead/cheeks, perioral dermatitis flares around mouth. Extremely difficult to find skincare products and makeup
that my face tolerate.
When my face reacts, it feels tight and itchy, my eyes stings and my face turns blotchy. The next day I have eczema patches on my cheeks and my eyelids are stiff,
thickened and dry (scaly).
So, recently I have been on a mission to find products that really work for me!

Years back I got a few samples from Dr. Hauschka and found them greasy and terrible. But for some strange reason I decided to try something again. I decided on the Translucent make-up in shade 01. I thought that eco makeup made your face oily, blotchy and oxidized but was I wrong! I really love this little tube! It goes on smooth and when dried it feels like nothing is on my face. It is not full coverage but enough to even out your complexion. It feels really comfortable on, does not make me itch or break me out, either in acne or eczema.

This is what they say:
  • Dr.Hauschka's Translucent Make-up 02 for medium toned complexions gives natural coverage and a smooth look, evening skin tones without disturbing skin function
  • This light formula evens out the complexion and helps maintain healthy moisture to leave a dewy, flawless look. Goes on smoothly and stays in place all day. Gentle enough for all skin conditions. Anthyllis, carrot and witch hazel extracts calm, nurture and tone, while avocado and jojoba oils join rose wax to moisturize and protect.
  • Offers natural coverage and flawless skin all day.
  • Evens the complexion
  • Soothing and protective properties
Water (Aqua), Alcohol, Anthyllis Vulneraria Extract, Carrot (Daucus Carota) Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Nut Oil, Avocado (Persea Gratissima) Oil, Jojoba (Buxus Chinensis) Oil, Glycerin, Marsh Mallow (Althaea Officinalis) Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana) Extract, Apricot (Prunus Armeniaca) Kernel Oil, Shea (Butyrospermum Parkii) Butter, Rose (Rosa Gallica) Wax, Beeswax (Cera Flava), Fragrance/Parfum (essential oil), Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Coumarin, Citral, Benzyl Benzoate, Eugenol, Farnesol, Bentonite, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Ultramarines (CI 77007)

Product Junkie....Dior Addict!

This weekend I browsed the shop for a Dior bronzer and stumbled onto this little beauty. I just couldn't help myself so I brought the Dior Addict Ultra Gloss home with me :)
I normally stay clear from glitter glosses but this one is exceptional! I bought it in a pearl finish and color is called Cashmere Pink #267.
It looks really good on my pale winter skin.....but it might be too light it you have a tan?
Best of all - when the gloss has gone, the tiny little glitter stays put on your lips through both eating and drinking!

4/5

Product Junkie....Stila!

I have previously reviewed the Stila Custom Color Blush, but in the pink shade. This time it's in the fairly new shade Coral. This shade has some glitter in it which I don't necessarily like but the color is good. Love the fine texture that just melts with your skin. It is very pigmented so you only need a little bit or you will look like a clown :)
Although it is a nice color, I do prefer the pink shade over this.

I rate this 3.5/5

Essie....Wicked!

This is another favorite shade of mine, Essie in Wicked!
The color goes with everything which is why I use it so much. It's a color that changes depending on the light. It's red, yet brown but sometimes almost look black.

This is definitely a 5/5 for me!

Product Junkie....Dr. Hauschka!

I really am a bronzer junkie since I am paler than most!
I love the color of my cheap Isadora bronzing powder but it tends to irritate my face a little bit.
I bought Dr Hauschka's powder a while back and tried it once and decided I didn't like it....until a week ago when I decided to give it another try. I LOVE it! It only comes in one shade which is a bit disappointing but it feels absolutely fabulous on my skin.
It is a light shade but you can build up a good tan without it looking cakey!
It has no shimmer, which I want!
It feels like air on your skin!
It doesn't irritate my dry, uber sensitive skin the slightest!
It doesn't accentuate any dry flakes and it looks dewy and fresh all day long!

I use it with my bronzer brush and you can read more about the product here.

I rate it 4/5!
It would get 5/5 if they would have more colors to chose from...

More Polish....

Now more of one of my other obsessions...nail polish!
This is another favorite color from Essie, the Midnight Cami. It is a really dark metallic blue color that almost looks black in some lights. It's absolutely gorgeous if you're into darker shades.
I rate this little gem 4.5/5!

Product Junkie.....Essie!

I got the Essie Mink Muffs nail polish for Christmas and I absolutely love it!
It is a perfect shade in warm taupe.
When I wear Essie (two coats) polishes with my OPI Radidry Topcoat, my color last at least 7 days without any type of peeling or chipping (and I don't even wear a base coat). I even get tired of the color before I need to remove it - now that is a good thing.

I rate the color 4/5 and Essie + OPI together 5/5!

Product Junkie...Mason Pearson

For lack of other blog ideas this evening, lets talk about my new hairbrush.
I bought this based on great reviews a while back. It is insanely expensive and I was skeptical and I'm still not sure if I like it. Now when I think about it it's almost just one good thing that comes to mind....it is really good at detangle any knots (with just one stroke). So that's a BIG plus! Now to the not so good features. The bristles are stiff so they can penetrate the hair but way too stiff for my scalp - it almost hurts. It also picks up any oil from the scalp which makes the hair really greasy looking. Another thing is that it makes the hair really pouffy. Don't get me wrong, I love big hair but the hair hair looks like something taken from a 70's movie :(
Hmm, not too excited over this brush.....
Do you have one and what do you think?

I rate this 1.5/5
